Travelogue

We don’t travel as much as we’d like (who does, right?), but we do tend to go to places that have a Colonial or American Revolution story to tell.  Occasionally, our travels don’t have anything to do with either, but we still usually end up somewhere that has something to say about our history.  Sometimes these places are nearby to us in upstate New York, sometimes they are in other states.

Our travel experiences are generally quite satisfying.  A lot of research and coordination goes into each outing, whether its a day trip or overnights.  Sometimes the place we stay overnight is the object of interest, sometimes its just a means to an end.

In this space, we will present some of our experiences in the hopes that others might benefit from our observations.  Perhaps you’ll discover a new place to visit, or maybe take another look at one you’ve been to before.  We are not travel experts. We are not paid to point people to destinations, either.   We do, however, want people to enjoy wherever they go to scratch a history itch.  Maybe we can help get you there.

Keep an eye on this space, as old & new experiences will be posted from time to time.  Click on the site topic below to go its page:
